About the role:
As we continue our growth, we are now looking for a Devops Lead (internally aligning with our Senior Engineering Manager level) who will drive our platform engineering efforts, guiding our Devops, Security and SysOps teams. This is a key role in our Engineering department, aimed at improving the overall efficiency of our technical teams (through automation, self-service tools and standardisation of “Golden Paths”) as well as directly supporting our company goals by ensuring stability, scalability, observability and cost management of our infrastructure.
Manage & Mentor a cross-functional team of DevOps, SecOps, and SysOps engineers, helping them in delivering on our goals while growing in their careers.
Own the teams’ backlog, creating a visible workflow to ensure that every task is tracked, estimated, and prioritized against business goals.
Align the team's planning with the other leaders in Engineering, Product and Project to facilitate cross-team initiatives, shielding the team from context switching while ensuring stakeholders know exactly what is being delivered and when.
Work with the development teams to build a "self-service platform", establishing reusable templates and standardized workflows so developers can ship code more independently.
Build team KPIs and system SLOs to visualize performance, identify bottlenecks and ensure proactive reliability
Bridge the gap between the Engineering Team and Product stakeholders, translating technical debt into business risk and explaining infrastructure investments in terms of value.
Establish comprehensive documentation and runbooks to cover the infrastructure, tools and processes owned by the teams
Work hand-in-hand with other Leads to ensure our CI/CD pipelines and tooling align with their needs, always being an enabler and never a blocker
While you may code less than an IC, you must possess deep expertise to govern our stack:
Cloud & Orchestration: Advanced architecture experience with GCP/AWS and Kubernetes as you support our strategy towards stronger efficiencies, scaling, and cost optimization.
IaC & Security: Enforce Infrastructure as Code best practices, ensure security is shifted left while evolving our observability stack to ensure we are measuring and tracking the right things.
CI/CD: Oversee the modernization of our delivery pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab CI) to ensure rapid, reliable, and testable releases.
7+ years in DevOps/Infrastructure, with at least 3+ years in a Lead or Management role.
Strong experience in building technical roadmaps, capacity planning and stakeholder management

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide mulit-disciplinary teams.
