About the role
We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Risk Manager to oversee and optimize risk management strategies for our iGaming operations in the Mexico market. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying potential threats, managing fraud prevention, and ensuring the financial integrity of our platform while maintaining compliance with local regulations.
Build, lead, and develop a high-performing local risk team in Mexico, overseeing recruitment, training, and performance management.
Design and implement risk management policies tailored specifically to the Mexican market.
Manage day-to-day operational risk using the Playtech Risk System, optimizing player lifecycles while minimizing financial exposure.
Monitor real-time player activity to identify and mitigate fraudulent behavior, including bonus abuse and money laundering risks.
Partner closely with Compliance and Legal teams to ensure full alignment with SEGOB regulations and local Mexican laws.
Configure and maintain Playtech ASE rules and system settings to support operational efficiency.
Assess high-risk accounts and transactions, making fast, data-driven decisions to protect business integrity.
Anticipate market-specific risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies before they impact operations.
Build a strong ethical, performance-driven team culture focused on accountability and regulatory excellence.
3–5+ years of experience in risk management within the iGaming industry.
Proven experience building, scaling, and managing professional risk teams.
Direct experience managing risk operations within the Mexican market.
Strong understanding of Mexican regulatory requirements, including SEGOB compliance.
Hands-on experience with the Playtech Risk System (strongly preferred).
In-depth knowledge of Playtech ASE rules, configurations, and account management logic (strongly preferred).
Fluency in both Spanish and English, with the ability to work across local and international teams.
Strong leadership and team-building capabilities, with a track record of developing local talent.
Excellent strategic thinking and decision-making skills, especially in high-pressure, high-risk environments.
